Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications
Any customer who is unhappy with his telecom operator may ask for free the Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications to intervene. You must first have contacted the customer service of your operator before you contact the Ombudsman. It can only act if a customer has been unable to achieve a satisfactory outcome following his contacts with the telecom provider.


The Ombudsman is competent for the whole telecommunications sector.

You can submit a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications:

  • by post, for the attention of Mr. Luc Tuerlinckx, Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications, Bischoffsheimlaan 29-35, 1000 Brussels ;
  • by fax to number 02 219 86 59 ;
  • by taking your complaint to the offices of the Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications during working hours (9 am to noon and 1.30 pm to 4 pm).

Only written complaints can be considered. However, it is possible to contact the Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications by telephone, by calling 02/223 09 09, to find out as much as you can about your rights.
