BIPT (Belgian Institute for Postal services and Telecommunications) is the body responsible for spectrum management in Belgium. BIPT is responsible for the allocation of frequency bands to services and the assignment of frequencies to all radio stations except broadcasting stations. The three Communities (Flemish, French and German) are responsible for the assignment of frequencies to broadcasting radio stations.
The purpose of this document is to give you information about the use of the spectrum in Belgium. It is a living document that we revise constantly and it will grow and develop shaped by your comments.
