Luc Hindryckx, Chairman of the Council, is in charge of the following departments :
- the Registry;
- the Communication Department, including the statistical information;
- the Internal Relations Department: coordination of the work at the level of the BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications), the IRG (Independent Regulators Group), the ERGP (European regulators group in the postal sector area), the European institutions, the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the WTO (World Trade Organization), the UPU (Universal Postal Union) and the CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations), etc.;
- the Financial Department: BIPT budget, accounting (collection of revenues and management of expenditure);
- the Translation Department: translation, proofreading, correction and adaptation of documents (French-Dutch-English-German).
The Chairman of the Council is in charge of the general coordination of BIPT policy, drawing up the strategic and operational plans, coordinating the support services and representing BIPT.
