                <description><![CDATA[Brussels, 30 May 2013 - Today BIPT has published the annual statistics relating to the telecoms sector. It shows that average prices have continued to decrease for fixed telephony (-11%) and mobile telephony (-5%). Belgium remains the leader as to the development of fixed high-speed broadband. Mobile broadband has reached almost the same level as fixed broadband penetration. The trend to buy multiple-play offers has continued.]]></description>

                <description><![CDATA[At the request of Vice Prime Minister Johan Vande Lanotte, BIPT carried out a comparative study of the prices for telecom products in Belgium and our neighbouring countries. That study shows average results for Belgium. Telecom bundles often provide high Internet quality but are pricy. The prices for mobile telephony decreased considerably late 2012, resulting in a better current ranking for Belgium in this field. Stand-alone offers for fixed telephony and Internet are rather cheap or average in price. Both however are losing ground on the Belgian market because of the growing success of the bundles.]]></description>
