Networks with shared resources are radio communication networks publicly provided by an operator to the public. These radio communications networks can be based on different standards such as TETRA, NexEdge, MPT1327, etc.

The application to obtain user rights to operate such a network has to be lodged at least three months prior to the desired starting date of operation.

Before submitting any application it is advisable to contact the BIPT (Private Licences Department) in order to assess the technical feasibility of the network.

Prior to considering the application for a network with shared resources, a notification as an operator is required as well.
