The trends announced in the previous years accelerated in 2017 in the Belgian postal market: a sharp drop in the letter post and a very significant increase in parcels and express services.
For the first time, parcels and express services represent the largest part in the turnover of the postal sector. The dynamism of this segment allowed the sector to show a major increase of its turnover and investments in 2017.
