In order to enhance the reliability of Calling Line Identification (CLI) the BIPT defined in the document (Consultation of 9 June 2020 regarding the CLI guidelines (Calling Line Identification)) four principles to be adhered to by operators who terminate voice calls.
For international calls it was further said how CLI can best be dealt with if it is impossible to follow the four principles. Those guidelines have been submitted to the sector for consultation. In the document annexed you can find the summary and analysis of the respondents’ comments.
Based on those comments the CLI guidelines of 4 December 2020 have been revised.
