New BIPT tool to find an appropriate operator for the sending of parcels – With this new tool, the BIPT enables users to look for and compare alternatives for the sending of 2 kg parcels in Belgium or to a destination in the EU. Users can not only compare prices but also examine the product characteristics which are important to them. By means of this tool, the BIPT wishes to better inform consumers, lower barriers to postal services and foster competition in the market.

Brussels, 9 March 2021 – The BIPT has adopted a decision regarding the tariffs that alternative operators must pay to use the fibre network of Proximus. The BIPT has approved the tariffs proposed by Proximus as it considers that they allow competition to the benefit of end-users, while safeguarding the incentive to invest in the roll out of optical fibre.
